How to grow Lilium from Bulbs. Its also called just Lily or Lilies Flowering plant with Video.
Lilium is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants growing from bulbs with large sized beautiful flowers of different colors. Lily plants are tall perennials ranging in height from 2–6 ft and the flowers are large with a pleasant fragrance, and come in multiple colors including whites, yellows, oranges, pinks, reds and purples.
Here I have purchased two lilly bulbs from this stall – one is supposed to be yellow and the other pink. Perhaps this will be revealed only when it starts flowering. They are supposed to develop fast and show result within 4 weeks. You can BUY Lilium Bulbs Online.
Bulbs are usually planted in a dormant season like winter and kept in indirect sunlight initially and later in partial sunlight. But now I am trying this in rainy season, because I got these bulbs for really cheap for 40 Rupees each in a stall at the lalbagh flower show. Well, to plant a bulb you need a well drained soil like a mix of soil and cocopeat or fine river sand. No need to add compost or fertilizer right now. You can add these later. Actually you need to plant the bulb deeper like about 2 inches deep.
Then water it for the first time and leave it alone undisturbed. Do not water too much again and again as the bulb has the capacity to store water in it and it will not die so easily.
