Yellow hibiscus also known as Hawaiian Hibiscus, is a flowering shrub that grows on the Hawaiian islands of United States of America. The Yellow hibiscus are listed as endangered species. Even in Hawaii, the plant is rare.
\nSo, I was lucky to grab two plants of this variety of rare hibiscus plant from a Local Nursery. I was actually hunting this from a long time.
\nAnother Fact is that Yellow Hibiscus is the State Flower of Hawaii!
\nAlthough yellow hibiscus is categorized as a shrub, it can grow up to 30 feet tall. Its large yellow flowers typically open between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and close again between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
\nNow lets quickly Re-pot this hibiscus plant into a larger pot. I usually make a potting mix with about 70 percent plain soil, 20 percent coco-peat and about 10 percent compost.
\nThis is called vermi-compost, which I bought from lalbagh botanical garden in Bangalore city. To know more on, What is Vermi-compost and what is coco-peat, checkout my other videos.
\nBefore starting, check whether you have a drainage hole at the bottom of your pot. If not, do not forget to make one like this.<\/p>\n

Make a firm bedding with plain soil and compress it with hands. This is to make sure the soil does not go out of the drainage hole, which has to drain out only water.<\/p>\n
