Exclusive and Complete HD video coverage of Lalbagh Flower Show August 2017 Independance day Video with Plant and Flower Identification with a large collection of different varieties of flowers and plants only at GKVK.in and GKVK.net Channel.

Lalbagh or Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, meaning The Red Garden in English, is a largest (240 acres) and well known botanical garden of Asia and situated in southern Bengaluru – Bangalore which is rightly called the GARDEN CITY OF INDIA. The garden has a famous glass house which hosts two annual flower shows (26 January – Republic Day and 15 August – Indian Independance day ). Lalbagh houses India’s largest collection of tropical plants, has a lake, and is one of the main tourist attractions in Bengaluru. Lal Bagh is also home to a few species of birds. It also has a large Bonsai Park or Bonsai Museum and Large Nursery to buy plants and seeds.

This year’s Lalbagh Flower show August 2017 – Independance day special is devoted to the famous poet of Karnataka – Mr. Kumvempu with a replica of his house in Shimoga district made using flowers. It is the 206th flower show of Lalbagh in Bangalore. Its mainly hosted at the Glass House of the Lalbagh Garden. Mr. Kuvempu is the first among Kannada writers to be honoured with the prestigious literary award. The house has now been converted into a museum. More than 3.5 lakh roses and other flowers will be used for the purpose. A replica of Jog Falls is also installed. The exhibition at the 240-acre garden, will display over 85 varieties of seasonal flowers.

Lots of varieties of flowering plants and other plants are shown in this video which has covered the entire flower show including the labels that make it easy for plant identification and flower identification. There is a huge collection of flowering plants, roses, lilly, dahlia, zinnia, phlox and so on.

The Range of Coleus plants was huge with almost all coleus varieties. Roses, Dahlias, begonia, petunia, phlox, star phlox and take the name of any flower and you see them right there with labels.

The Replica of Butterfly, Replica of Jog falls of shimoga and cut outs of Poet Kuvempu was all awesome.

The video shown here was shot at early morning 7:30 am with still a good number of crows, otherwise at later part of the day,  its impossible to shoot better video than this because of huge expected crowd.

There is no parking inside Lalbagh for these two weeks and commuters have to park their vehicles either alongside the double road or the satellite bus stand and then walk. Also two wheeler parking available at the Al-ameen college – hosur road.

One more good thing is, there are stalls inside lalbagh outside the glass house selling plants, seeds, bulbs, etc. I bought lilium bulbs at a very reasonable price of Rs 40 each and the same is sold elsewhere at 900 bucks. Also I bought money plant stick for Rs. 80 – small one and large one costs 200 bucks. These stalls are besides the regular nursery inside lalbagh selling this stuff.
